We have had websites pretty much as long as there have been such things but did not think of them as a source of income. Geoff is a programmer and our DataIsland site provided information about his FileMaker abilities but it did not make any money directly.
We have had ElusiveBeaches for some time which supports our book and DVD about Eleuthera and although you can buy them both from the site the market is so small we think of this more as a promotion for Eleuthera than anything else.
A few years ago we set up a site called OneStopFileMaker where you could purchase all kinds of FileMaker related products, but it failed miserably.
When we decide to look after Geoff's 102 year old mother for her final years we needed an income source that would allow us the freedom to work where and when we choose. Some kind of Internet business seemed the only answer given our requirements and skill sets. The rest, as they say, "Is history!".
